The Game Price Guide contains over 8,300
video game titles and is the largest, most up to date video game database available.
The Game Price Guide database is maintained and used daily by BRE Software, a
used video game retailer/wholesaler with 17 years experience in the used game
business.
The Game Price Guide includes
complete game pricing information for the following video game platforms: Sony
PSP, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox, Nintendo DS, GameCube, Nintendo 64, Super
Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Dreamcast and
Genesis.
There are 6 prices for each game
title in the database:
- Complete Used Sale Price
- Incomplete Used Sale Price
- Complete Credit Buy Price
- Complete Cash Buy Price
- Incomplete Credit Buy Price
- Incomplete Cash Buy Price
"Complete" prices are for games with the original display box
and instruction booklet.
"Incomplete" prices are for games missing the original display
box and/or instruction booklet.
Also included are Buy/Sell/Trade prices for game systems and
accessories for the above platforms.
The Game Price Guide online database is updated 3 times per week
and can by accessed through an easy to use website.
The Game Price Guide is for use at a single,
physical retail location. Please contact us for multiple location discount. The Game Price Guide
can not be used or distributed on the internet or in conjunction with a website. Please contact us for a quote on a custom datafeed.
The Game Price Guide is available in 2 editions:
- Standard Edition: Includes video game prices structured for maximizing profitabilty while expanding your inventory for long term growth. These are the same prices we use in our retail store and online sales. This is the edition we have offered since 1994 and recommend using if selling used video games is your primary business.
- Cheap Edition: Launched in May 2006, the Cheap Edition is for retailers who are (or think they are) competing primarily on price. If you want to have lower prices than GameStop, this is the edition for you.
Note about competing with GameStop & EB Games:
While we understand wanting to have lower prices than the competition, we feel that focusing primarily on price when competing with a 2,000 store chain can be, and often is, a losing proposition. Regardless of which Game Price Guide Edition you choose, or if you are even a Game Price Guide subscriber, we encourage all independent video game retailers to focus on service and selection and a little less on price when competing with GameStop or any big box retailer. Chances are good that you already have friendlier sales people and offer better service than GameStop. Now that GameStop is no longer selling PlayStation games, there are a number of Vintage Platforms you can offer your customers without competing with GameStop, EB Games or any other national retailer. When you open your 10th, 50th or 100th store, you'll have better economies of scale to compete with the big boys, but until then focus on your strengths. Over time, customers will glady pay another buck or two for a game in exchange for better customer service and selection worthy of a video game specialty store.
A subscription to the Game Price Guide is $99.95 per month or $999.95 per year.
We offer subscriptions to the Game Price Guide at a discount in our eBay Store.
The Game Price Guide service is an ONLINE SERVICE, access to the internet is required.
The prices displayed in the Game Price Guide are in US dollars. The Game Price Guide service may be used from anywhere in the world, but the prices displayed will be in US dollars.
The Game Price Guide is also available in a Printed Version for those without internet access. The Printed Version of the Game Price Guide is updated and mailed to subscribers 6 times per year.
