I package as if I were accepting each and every package for myself. That being said, I pack well. Often times I over pack. If you are reading this then you probably have one or more radios. You have probably purchased radios on-line or from someone far away. Nothing is as frustrating as receiving a great radio only to have it broken because of some sub-par, crappy packaging and shipping. I don't do that. Most of my radios are double boxed. Some are not but all are packed well enough to ensure that you will receive them undamaged. If not, I will cheerfully refund your money. I am here to sell some radios and have a good time doing it. You, as a potential customer, rely on me to get your radio to you in one piece and playing. I am appalled at all of the sellers that put the little disclaimer on the bottom of their auctions: "not responsible for radios after they leave my hands" or "insurance is required because I am not responsible for damages during transit" Bull!
If you pack it well it should arrive intact and timely. Now there are those exceptions but for the most part it is the shippers (sellers) responsibility to get it to you safe and sound. I take that to heart. I usually charge a flat rate shipping fee. Most of the time it will not even cover the shipping but it helps out. I always purchase shipping insurance for your radio, just for those occasions when it falls off the truck and gets run over prior to you receiving it. I will pack well but....if there is gross damage to the outside of the box then please, take some pictures and open it in front of a postal worker, UPS shipping rep or so on so that they can see the damage they caused and the potential damage inside. All that being said, I have shipped hundreds of items and none have arrived damaged. Even though the outside of some are nearly destroyed, the inside is golden. So, rest assured that you will get your item in as fine a shape as when it left me, or you will get your money back...Somehow, someway. Case closed.
