Northern Island, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands and Isle of Wight. It may be possible to send these items by another cheaper service, but this will be slower. We will contact you to confirm before sending. Please note that the 3-5 day and 48hour courier delivery only count "working" days from time of despatch. These delivery times are not from time of purchase, but are the time scale set by the courier company from time of collection. If you need your item in a hurry, please do not choose 3-5 day delivery as couriers need to be booked and items may not go till the next day. We can also offer great deals to Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and all UK Islands. If in doubt, please ask for an exact quote. Items dispatched within TWO working days not including Saturday, Sunday or Bank holidays. Buyers have a right under distance selling regulations to return any item in it's original condition for a refund of the purchase price within SEVEN days. These instructions are for making soy wax melts. Because soy wax has a low melting point, it can be melted either in the
Microwave or in a pan over a pan of water (double boiler) as you would melt cooking chocolate.
There are many different moulds available to make wax melts. Metal tart cases, silicone moulds and some sweet moulds can all be used. To avoid wastage and easier fragrancing, it is always a good idea to calculate how much wax per mould. If the moulds aren't big enough to fill with liquid, it might be worth making a dummy batch and weighing when set so that you know how much wax each mould holds.
For reference, a tart mould holds approx 22grms, the pink mould holds approx 60grms,the blue stars 55grms and the other blue mould 75grms.
What you will need.
Ecosoy pillar wax
Plastic jug or two old pans.
Optional fragrance and colouring.
Place the required amount of wax into a plastic jug and melt in microwave. Alternatively, melt a larger amount and weigh off enough for your melts.
Start with two minutes, less for small amounts and add 30secs at a time till melted. There is no need to continue once all wax is melted.Any colouring can be added at this point.
Alternatively, place in an old pan over a pan of boiling water and heat till melted.
Your wax will be at approx 70c.
Stir wax and allow to cool to approx 45-50c.
When wax is at cooled temp, fragrance can be added.
Stir fragrance thoroughly into wax to avoid pooling.
Pour wax into mould and leave to set at room temp. Do not place anywhere too cold.
